If you wish to operate any two or three wheel motorcycle, whose engine is more than 50 cc, you are required to have a motorcycle endorsement on your driver license or a motorcycle-only license. Upon successful completion of the trike program you will be eligible for a three-wheeled motorcycle endorsement.
About the Trike Training Program
The trike course provides basic safety information and skills training for the three-wheeled enthusiast. Handling a three-wheeled motorcycle is different from a two-wheeled. The creation of a specialized course was needed to address the challenges and specialized riding circumstances faced by riders of three-wheeled motorcycles.
The Florida Safety Council, utilizing the Evergreen Safety Council's renowned trike training curriculum, now presents the Trike Education Program. The course is geared toward anyone interested in learning to safely ride a three-wheeled vehicle. This program is recognized by a growing number of national and regional insurance companies, as well as State motorcycle programs.
Successful completion of the Trike program requires a minimum score of 80% on both the written test and skills evaluation. These classes provide endorsement eligibility and license waiver of any additional Florida DHSMV testing.

Course Agenda
The basic Trike program is a 16 hour class designed to provide the rider with knowledge, confidence and driving skills practiced in a safe, controlled environment.
Classroom sessions present text and lecture coupled with hands-on activities. Each classroom session is followed by time spent on the riding range practicing the new skills presented in the classroom.
Under the direction of skilled instructors, each student is coached through maneuvers until both student and instructor are satisfied with the progress.
