Purpose of DUI Level II Class

State of Florida certified program, designed for individuals with more than one DUI conviction and/or DUI amended to reckless driving in their lifetime; and those who have previously attended a DUI school.

DUI Level 2 May be required by DHSMV for reinstatement after an Administrative Suspension.

MANDATED per FS 316.192(4) and 316.193(5) with Level of education determined based upon the number of lifetime DUI/RD offenses.

Goal

To educate and to identify those who may be harmfully involved with alcohol and other drugs, with emphasis on the effects of alcohol and other drugs on driving skills and the body.

Course Format

• Twenty-one (21) hour educational course.
• Highly interactive course taught by State certified DUI instructors.
• Teaching tools include lectures, class discussion, handouts and videos.
• All students participate in a psychosocial evaluation interview conducted by a certified DUI evaluator.

DUI Level II Course Content

• Effects of DUI.
• Law and attitudes pertaining to DUI.
• Psychological and physiological effects of alcohol and drugs.
• Impact DUI has on the offender’s life, family and community.
• Alternative behaviors and attitudes towards drinking and driving.

Course Availability

• DUI Classes are available days, evenings and weekends.
• DUI Classes are located in Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Brevard Counties.

Registration

Basic requirements needed to register are:

1. Driver License Number
2. Arrest Affidavit (Arrest Report or Traffic Crash Report) - must be a legible copy
3. Citation – must be a legible copy
4. Results of Breath or Blood test, Urinalysis results, Refusal Slip
5. Court Disposition or Court Order – (if have already appeared in Court or been convicted)
6. Picture ID-- such as a current Florida Identification Card, US Passport. (NOT EXPIRED)
7. Complete, officialLifetime Florida Driving Record (call for information on official sources)

The complete, official Lifetime Florida Driving Record must be provided by the client at the time of the evaluation appointment.  If the Lifetime Driving Record is supplied by the client, the Driving Record must be an official DHSMV-based printout, less than 30 days old, and reflect a lifetime record.  If another state issued the Driver License, the lifetime record from that state must also need to be presented.

1. **Clients that have a Florida Driver's License Number may pay an additional fee of $14.00 (cash, credit card or money order) at the time of the evaluation appointment to have the Lifetime Driving Record processed by Florida Safety Council.

2. **Clients may also contact the DHSMV, Clerk of Court or an Internet resource to obtain a current copy of the Lifetime Driving Record.

Online registration is available. Students may register prior to conviction. Registration normally takes at least 1¹/₂ hours.

DUI Registration Fees and Re-schedule Fees are set by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles for all Florida DUI Programs.
