The Florida Safety Council is based in Central Florida, and offers many of their courses online. Many of our courses are now offered online.
Driver Improvement Traffic School Programs
Promoting traffic safety is the cornerstone of the Florida Safety Council's education and training initiatives. Driver improvement programs are designed to encourage safe and courteous driving habits by enhancing defensive driving abilities and awareness.
Florida Safety Council also offers a variety of driver improvement programs for individuals, commercial drivers, truck drivers, mature drivers, and motorcycle operators. One-on-One driving lessons, and high school driver education programs and classes are provided as well. Additionally, Florida Safety Council provides the Drug & Alcohol Traffic Awareness (D.A.T.A.) course required by Florida law since 1990. The D.A.T.A. Program was developed to prevent future DUI's, and is required for all first time drivers' license applicants in Florida.
Motorcycle Training and Education Programs
Florida Safety Council offers Basic and Experienced Motorcycle Rider Courses. Both classes are approved by the State of Florida for a motorcycle endorsement on your drivers' license. These courses are intended to teach safe riding techniques and various motorcycle skills. Completion of the Basic Rider course meets the DHSMV requirements for motorcycle license endorsement.
DUI Programs
Florida Safety Council's DUI Programs and classes are aimed at changing the behavior of offenders; therefore reducing the risk of future DUI related arrests, injuries and deaths. State certified evaluators and instructors are responsible for helping each client understand the issues and factors related to risk reduction. The DUI Program is licensed by the Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles (DHSMV) to provide services in Brevard, Orange, Osceola, and Seminole Counties.
Occupational and Workplace Safety Training
Florida Safety Council provides a wide variety of safety courses and seminars designed to meet OSHA standards in the workplace. These interactive courses and seminars provide opportunities for participants to share ideas, problems and solutions. In addition to training courses and seminars, Florida Safety Council also sponsors safety and education forums for the community.
